  3. Shutdown Extension •

This extension works similar to the regular Shutdown Extension except that it bypasses the normal shutdown process and will NOT save anything that is unsaved. This may let you shutdown in certain situations where the other one can't because of a dialog box conflict. It may also work on machines running AtEase — I haven't tested it.

  7. You can tell which one is which by doing a get info on the extension.  The modified extension has a bullet after the version number.

  9. Shutdown Extension Application

  11. This is similar to Shutdown Extension except the Type of the file has been changed from 'appe' to 'APPL'. This allows the program to act as a background only application. You could place this in your startup items folder and it would act similar to the extension.

  13. If you want to make Shutdown Extension • into a background only application, just change the file Type from 'appe' to 'APPL'

  17. I haven't tested Shutdown Extension • out very much so it may not work on all machines or for all software configurations. If you have problems with it, I'd like to know about it.
